Stardew Valley Keg capacity calculator
How many Kegs do I need?
Size the queue before you craft.
Enter your stack, the Keg route, and the number of days you can wait. Get the Keg count that clears the batch—and the shortfall if your shed is undersized.
Keg throughput
Size the Keg fleet for one real stack.
Only batches collected by the deadline count. A batch still running on the last day remains unfinished.
Shed counts use the 67-machine Shed and 137-machine Big Shed layouts published by the Stardew Valley Wiki. Controller access, wider paths, decorations, and mixed machines can lower the practical count.

Keg capacity planning
Craft for throughput, not an impressive machine count
A Keg count only becomes useful when it is tied to a stack and a deadline. This calculator turns a crop pile into a clear target: how many batches one Keg can finish, how many your current fleet can finish, and how many more Kegs would close the gap.
Cycle time sets the ceiling
A seven-morning Wine cycle gives one batch per Keg in a seven-day window. Faster routes can turn over more batches, so the same number of Kegs may clear a much larger vegetable or special-input stack.
Do not count an unfinished batch
The result counts only batches that finish by the selected day. A batch that is still in a Keg at the deadline stays in the queue instead of being presented as completed profit.
Turn the target into a buildable workshop
The result compares the target with the published 67-machine Shed and 137-machine Big Shed layouts, then carries the exact Keg count into the material calculator. Leave extra space when you use a controller, wider paths, decorations, or mixed machines.
Model scope: unmodded Stardew Valley 1.6.x · crop, brew, mushroom, honey, Raisin, and Caviar routes · one morning check per day · machines start empty on Day 0 · Casks are not included.
How the plan is made
Keg capacity is batches per machine multiplied by the days you can actually use.
Count real capacity
Every batch occupies a real machine until the morning collection day shown in the plan.
Protect opportunity cost
Quality and the selected profession path change what the exact input stack would sell for raw. Artisan includes the Tiller crop bonus where it applies.

Common questions
Before you load the shed
How is the required Keg count calculated?
The calculator divides your deadline by the route cycle, counts only complete batches, multiplies by the inputs per batch, and rounds up the number of Kegs needed to clear the stack.
How many batches can one Keg finish in 7 days?
That depends on the selected route. A 7-day Wine route completes one batch; a 4-day Juice route completes one batch in this morning-check model. The result shows the exact cycle used.
What happens to an unfinished batch?
It is not counted as completed capacity. The calculator reports the inputs that remain after the deadline so you can see the real shortfall.
Does this include the cost of crafting Kegs?
The capacity result links directly to the Keg material calculator with the target and existing machine count already filled in. Wood, Copper Bars, Iron Bars, and Oak Resin are calculated there so the throughput result stays readable.
How many Kegs fit in a Shed or Big Shed?
The Stardew Valley Wiki publishes optimal layouts with 67 machines in a Shed and 137 machines in a Big Shed. The calculator rounds your Keg target up to the number of buildings required and shows unused slots. Controller access, wider paths, decorations, and mixed machines can reduce the practical count.
Why does the answer change for Wine and Juice?
Wine and Juice use different cycle lengths. The same Keg fleet can therefore clear different numbers of batches depending on the input route.
