Planner data stored locally

The home comparison, quick calculators, crop calendars, seasonal crop tool, Wine aging calculator and Greenhouse layout keep their own settings in your browser's local storage. The full farm planner has one shared plan. A plan can include machine counts, planning horizon, profession, inventory item, quality, quantity, reserved quantity, and arrival day. This data is not uploaded to a ValleyMath account or database because the site does not currently provide either one.

After a confirmed planner import, the previous plan and checklist are kept locally for Undo. Restoring an example changes the current plan but does not erase other tools' settings or this backup. Local data remains until you clear this site's browser data or use a private browsing session that removes storage automatically. Blocking local storage does not prevent calculations, but the plan will not persist between visits.

Optional local save import

If you choose Load my farm, the browser reads the Stardew Valley save folder you select and extracts supported farm details on this device. The save file is not uploaded to ValleyMath. The resulting machine counts and inventory plan are stored in the same local browser storage described above.

Save parsing currently targets unmodded Stardew Valley 1.6.x. If a save cannot be read, the manual planner remains available and no file is retained by the site.

Share links

Copy share link and Use in full planner encode the plan after the # in the page address. URL fragments are not sent to the website in the normal HTTP request. Anyone who receives the complete link can still decode and view that plan, so do not share a link containing a setup you consider private.

Keg capacity share links and their crafting-list links also use a fragment for the entered values. Older query-based links still work; query values on those older links are part of the page request. Newly generated links no longer use that format.

Analytics events

ValleyMath uses Google Analytics 4 with advanced consent mode to understand whether pages and tools are useful. Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. While that storage remains denied, GA4 may receive cookieless page views and coarse events such as 10/30/60/120-second active-time milestones, a broad active-time range when a page is left, 50%/90% scroll milestones, and whether a result was at least half visible for half a second in the active tab. A result view records only the result kind and a broad time-to-view range, not the result values; it does not prove that the player was satisfied. The page location sent by ValleyMath contains the clean page path only; query parameters and share-link fragments are removed. Google states that these cookieless pings do not read or write Analytics cookies and are used for basic measurement and modeling. See Google's consent mode overview.

On a first meaningful calculator action, a small banner asks whether you want to allow analytics storage. If you allow statistics, GA4 may also receive coarse product events such as planner opened, planner engaged, inventory row added or removed, result generated, methodology opened, related tool selected, share link copied, or a quick-calculator or planner result summary copied. This allows page usefulness to be compared without recording the exact text or values a player enters.

Analytics events do not include item names, item IDs, quantities, copied result text, full plan JSON, or the share-link fragment. A copy event records only that the action was tried, whether the browser allowed it, the page or tool mode, and—where relevant—the broad planner result status. Result value is reduced to a broad profit range. Your consent choice is stored locally in this browser so the banner does not appear on every visit. If storage is blocked, your choice applies to this visit only. You can clear it through this site's browser data controls and choose again.

Advertising is not active yet

ValleyMath does not currently load display advertising. If Google AdSense or another network is enabled, this policy will identify the active vendors. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Users can manage personalized Google advertising in Google's Ads Settings.

Before personalized ads are served to users in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, ValleyMath will use a Google-certified consent management platform where required. Ad code will not be placed inside controls, disguised as navigation, or loaded on pages without substantive publisher content.

Your choices

• Use the planner without creating an account.
• Clear all local plans and the Undo backup through browser site-data controls.
• Do not use share links, or remove the URL fragment before copying the page address.
• Use browser privacy controls to restrict local storage, cookies, or analytics requests.
• Manage personalized Google ads through Google Ads Settings if advertising is enabled later.
